First impressions are important, and grounds maintenance is a serious issue on campus. Responsible for providing a safe and properly maintained landscape, Grounds Services successfully achieves that mission by integrating landscape design and maintenance to provide a clean, safe, attractive, and functional outdoor campus, while preserving and enhancing its natural beauty. The appearance of the campus is a very influential aspect that catches the eye of all visitors to the University.

In addition, Grounds Services is responsible for parking areas, athletic fields (practice and NCAA), and intramural fields. Their goal is to keep the grounds safe and beautiful for students, faculty, and staff to enjoy. Their motto is “Clean and Green.”
