Construction/Renovation Services

The Construction/Renovation Services department provides programming, design, and construction functions for campus projects up to $100,000, with the following as its main areas of emphasis:

• Deliver project development, inspection, and management services that ensure quality results within budget and meet end-user expectations upon completion.
• Ensure all projects comply with fire, safety, environmental, and ADA codes and regulations through effective coordination and oversight.
• Improve or modify existing spaces by working closely with University personnel to define scope, coordinate planning and design, maintain project files and schedules, and communicate proactively throughout the renovation process.
• Support campus construction efforts through an in-house crew consisting of a supervisor, estimator, and multi-trade craftsmen (carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing) who collaborate on multiple projects across campus.
• Manage large renovation projects utilizing P&C Construction, a direct-order contracting firm that works under the direction of Construction/Renovation Services project managers and coordinators.
